Why this is SO GREAT:
Cyber security is an increasing global threat with a significant need for qualified talent. The UK’s £100,000 investment in finding and developing diverse talent is a concrete sign of the value these individuals bring to the workplace and the world. I hope that other organizations and countries follow suit and that once additional success is achieved, the UK increases the investment above the current £100,000 level. The effort focuses on women, neurodiverse individuals and BAME, a term long used in the UK to refer to Black Asian and Minority Ethnic people. Of note, this is the 3rd cash injection into the UK Governments Cyber Security Inclusivity Fund (CSIF).
